Julie Weikel, R.N., B.S.N., O.C.N., graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, in 1981 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is oncology certified by the Oncology Nurses Society and has more than 15 years’ experience in the field.

Prior to joining The Center in April 1999, as the clinical trials coordinator, she was a clinical research associate at M. D. Anderson Cancer Network-Tarrant County where she was responsible for study management of research protocols.
